Non-exhaust particulate matter emission from vehicles: A review

نویسندگان

چکیده

According to the source, particulate matter produced during vehicle driving can be divided into exhaust emission and non-exhaust emission. Exhaust includes pipe crankcase emission, while brake wear, tire road wear dust. For a long time, it has been considered that pollution of motor vehicles mainly comes from emissions, control in various countries is concentrated tail gas. However, with continuous tightening standards, reduced, but also makes environmental increasingly prominent. This paper summarizes research on aiming emphasize importance emissions necessity legislation, so as reduce their contribution concentration.

Particulate Matter and NOx Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems

Fleet fuel consumption is greatly reduced through the introduction of the HSDI Diesel engine. The reduced fuel consumption is then reflected in a reduction of CO2 emissions. The drop in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions results in a rise in market acceptance, which is also the result of desirable driving performance and greatly improved NVH behavior. The continuously increasing demands on plac...

A Preliminary Particulate Matter Emission Factor from Cotton Harvesting

Particulate matter (PM) sampling of cotton harvesting operations at three locations in Texas was conducted during the summer of 2006. PM emissions generated by a two-row (John Deere model 9910) and six-row (John Deere model 9996) cotton picker were measured at each sampling location. The PM emissions from the two-row and sixrow machines were measured using a protocol employing collocated low vo...

Associations between exhaust and non-exhaust particulate matter and stroke incidence by stroke subtype in South London.

BACKGROUND Airborne particulate matter (PM) consists of particles from diverse sources, including vehicle exhausts. Associations between short-term PM changes and stroke incidence have been shown. Cumulative exposures over several months, or years, are less well studied; few studies examined ischaemic subtypes or PM source. AIMS This study combines a high resolution urban air quality model wi...

Particulate Matter and Ammonia Emission Factors

Emissions rates for particulate matter less than 10 m (PM10) and ammonia (NH3) from commercial tunnel–ventilated broiler houses in central Texas were analyzed using linear regressions to develop emission rates as a function of bird weight for broilers on litter. Interior ambient temperature and relative humidity were not found to be significant factors affecting emissions. From the regression e...
